So very sorry to hear of Grants passing. He was a very special caring family man who always loved a bit of fun just like his Mum & Dad. My thoughts go out to Wendy, Andrew and Mathew and families, and also Richard, Geoff and Janis and families who have lost a wonderful brother. Hugs to you all at this difficult time.

My deepest sympathies to Grants Family. Grant you are a true legend & were always there for so many, you are so truly respected & so deeply missed by all. Never a dull moment when I popped into your dairy, always up for a laugh, you never forgot anyone, always asking after peoples families. Thank you for being the best boss ever to my daughter Beth, she loved going to work & from her stories, many a prank was played on her. will miss you greatly -Kaye Gibson & Family

We are both shocked and saddened to hear of Grant's sudden passing. Grant was so kind, a shinning light in the Marchwiel community for so many years. Wendy and family our hearts go out to you all as I know you will find this difficult time even harder in this time of massive world shift and change.Stay in your hearts, find your new balance and take care of each other. Much love & blessings xxx

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Grant. Grant was truly the best dairy owner Timaru will ever have!
I worked in the pharmacy next door 30 plus years ago, they were great days, there was always a trick to play and fun to be had with Grant next door.
Many years later when I had my family I still used to pop in to see Grant, my family always remember Grant fondly especially my youngest son Max, who used to always want to go to see Grant when he was a little preschooler, Grant would give Max a pile of outdated car magazines, Max used to be so excited to go and see Grant out the back of the shop and Grant always had the time to give.
Wendy and family my heart goes out for you all, I know you have very difficult times ahead made even worse with the current situation, take care of each other, laugh, cry and stay strong xxxx

I am saddened to hear of Grant's passing . What a shock. It is lovely to read all the positive comments about him though and I wish to add my thoughts . I was a teacher at Marchwiel/Oceanview Heights for 10 years. Grant offered to pass on the old magazines to me for my blokes - fishing, cars, sporting etc. Every Thursday after play the students woud be lined up at my desk waiting for Grant's magazines. I don't think he realised how eager these kids were but also how their interest in reading grew and how their reading ages increased because of this. Grant you were a legend and you will be missed. My love to Wendy and boys. Regards Heather Hinton (Mrs H)

So sorry to hear of Grant's passing. He was such a friendly, thoughtful grocer & friend there was never a crossed word spoken. We were a great team & he was a wonderful boss for 20 years. He will be a huge loss & missed by many in the Marchwiel area. RIP Grant.
Thinking of you Wendy, Andrew, Matthew & families. Hazel & family xx

It was such a shock to hear that Grant had died. I can still see his cheery face coming into Westpac Northtown most days. We would have a chat , he usually had a funny comment or chuckle with Fiona, Donna or Irene . We will miss him dearly.

Can't believe it. All the years Grant and Des looked after me and mum, Grant was one in a million, genuine caring person. We wouldn't have survived with out him, big heart, WISH THERE WERE MORE LIKE GRANT.. cheers grant.
