Born June 20, 1931 in South Hampton, New York, died January 15, 2021, Claire was the daughter of Leonard and Lucy Edwards. She lived in East Hampton, New York and graduated from East Hampton High School in 1949. She then attended Saint Lawrence University in Canton, New York. She graduated in 1953 with a degree in Psychology. Claire met Stanley Davies in 1946, she married him while he was still in the Navy and she was in college, in 1952. Together they had five children: Jeffrey, Kevin, Bruce, Bradley, Jennifer, then seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In 1960 Claire joined the Catholic church where they participated as members of the faith, raising all their children under the belief that God is an important part of each family. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Longmont. During the years of raising their children Stan and Claire shared the world with them, most of their children visited all 50 states, Canada and Mexico. In 1974, the Davies moved from Denver to Longmont where they volunteered at Our Center, Longmont United Hospital, the Salvation Army, the Channel 9 Health Fair, and manned the polls for many years during elections in support of their commitment to their beloved country, Claire also volunteered at the Rocky Mountain National Park Beaver Meadows Visitor Center a personal favorite. They contributed financially to 47 different charitable organizations. The also volunteered at the National Western Stock Show and supported the Longmont Symphony Guild for more than 25 years. After retirement Claire and Stan traveled the world, visiting many countries, and as they had always done shared adventures that few are ever able to experience. As was her and Stans life, full of adventure, family, travel, and the love they shared until departed. Donations in lieu of flowers to St. Francis of Assisi Church, in Longmont.
