Marion Hightower of Longmont passed away peacefully January 8, 2021 at the age of 89. She has been laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery with her husband of 60 years. Marion graduated from North Denver High School in 1950. She attended William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. She married her husband, Donald, in 1952. Marion worked for and retired from the Jefferson County School system. She lived most of her life in Golden, Arvada, and finally settling in Longmont in 1997. Her family's long connection to the state of Colorado, led to a designation as a "Pioneer Family." Marion was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and daughter-in-law. She is survived by two sons and two granddaughters.
