I remember that fun guy, dancing up a storm in the 60's. His lovely mother will be happy to welcome him I'm sure.

Dear Pat, my sincere condolences on the passing of my cousin Al. In recent years I'd see Al at the ball park and enjoyed our family catch up chats. We had memories of our early years growing up and then reconnected again in our teens. He tried to teach me to bowl at our St. Louis / St Ann's bowling league. He was the top bowler in the league while I held the lowest scores. Al was the eldest of our generation, a year older than my late sister Lucille.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this difficult time.

Cownden Family,
It was with deep sadness I heard of Al's passing. He was the one of the best teachers I ever had & I was proud to call him my friend. He had my back more than most of my own family, constantly encouraged me, & never let me forget my potential. Especially through some of the darkest times in my life. His love for sports, music, & the outdoors was immeasurable... let alone his sense of humor. His upbeat manner was contagious.
Definitely gone to soon. I'll miss the advice. Please accept my sincerest condolences on your loss.

So sorry to hear of Al's passing. I enjoyed his strategizing and commenting during ball games. We played together on the Sooke Old Boys' Slow Pitch ball team. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Pat, I was so saddened to hear of Al's passing. I fondly remember when we all taught at John Stubbs, and the several more years I taught with Al at Savory. He was much loved by students and colleagues. Please accept my sincere condolences.
