I am sorry for your loss. Gordon was a fine member of the Victoria Folk Music Society for years and a gentle man.
January-15-18
I was once privileged to have spent some time with Gordon, walking and talking with him about such subjects as his years as an educator and the current state of education. I was so impressed by his wealth of knowledge and his expression of it.

Selfishly, I wish that I'd had more time with this very intelligent, clear-sighted and warm man. Although his interests seemed broad and his knowledge wide-ranging, I felt that he had an unique capacity to customize his conversation in whatever way best suited his listener.

His family and those who knew and loved him must have counted themselves as blessed. Those students who had Mr. Campbell as their teacher must have felt themselves so fortunate.

I know that I felt all those things, having known him but briefly...

Sorry for your "our" loss.

Mr. Campbell was my grade five teacher at Sidney Elementary in the early 70's. He was very encouraging and helped to contribute to my life time desire of learning new things and a huge reason as to why I wanted to be a teacher. He was always kind and his smile could light up a room. What a legacy he has left, to have been such a positive influence in so many young people's lives.. I will always remember him with a floor hockey stick in his hand and his leg up on his desk.. he once brought in a bottle of coke and dropped a tooth into it to show us how bad it was for us.. the next morning the tooth had completely dissolved .. it always stuck with me.. RIP Sir.. you will be missed ❤

Gord was a wonderful friend to my Mum and Dad for many years, sharing interests from Kinsmen to boat building. Our deepest condolences to the Campbell family.

Gordon was our neighbor on Amelia Avenue, we watched him work many many hours on his boat. This picture of Gordon is truly the Best one. I am sure he is at peace now.

Condolences to his family.

To the Campbell Clan,
So incredibly sad to hearing of Gordon's passing. We will always remember him fondly, such a kind and gentle soul. He made the best mussels on the planet!! May it help in some small way to know you are in our thoughts at such a difficult time. With Care & Concern, The McQueen's.
