The news of Ann's passing has only recently arrived in Perth. Australia. Ann and I grew up together on Mt Tolmie and we were friends from 3 years of age. We had a very free childhood roaming in the Hudson Bay Woods adjoining my yard making forts and playing games. Ann had a golden cocker spaniel named Chips who always came with us..Ann was very clever at school and wrote plays and even an opera so we thought to put on for the neighbours. Ann went to Vic High to further her talent in Art. All the neighbours knew each other and visited each others' homes. Ann's family lived in an ultra modern house for
its time on top of a hill with views 360
degrees around Victoria. I moved to Vancouver briefly before marrying an Australian and have lived 52 years in Perth. Please accept my condolences for your multi talented wife and mother whom I remember fondly. Goodbye dear childhood friend. Love, Karen

Sorry to hear of Ann's passing I enjoyed many conversations while she volunteered with the cats at the SPCA one so looked forward to seeing her every week. Ann greatly loved her cats and was so caring towards even the shyest cat at the shelter. My condolences to the family.

Pete,

I am so sorry that Ann is no longer with us but trust that you and your children will be able to soldier on.

Ave Atque Vale,

Ann may have left our lives but she will never leave our hearts.

Right up until illness took Ann's independence away, she was always ready and eager to have a good time. I shall cherish the many evenings of shared holidays, meals, sips of wine, and hearty laughs with Ann and our husbands. Like teenagers, Ann and I often danced in the kitchen while we prepared dinner.

Ann never passed up an opportunity to go for walks in Oak Bay around McNeil Bay or up the 115 steps to Walbran Park.

Ann was a sun-goddess, she loved the beaches in Mexico and Hawaii. She was a wonderful gardener, an avid reader, terrific cook and homemaker. As a volunteer for the SPCA for decades, Ann nurtured abandoned cats and adopted six.

Ann was a very sweet, polite, kind and intelligent woman. I feel fortunate to have had Ann as a friend.

Goodbye Ann, it was great fun!

Making the Christmas lemon curd from Ann's recipe and thinking of all the good times. Feel blessed to have known this generous, funny, feisty, cat-loving woman.
