Brent was a true gentleman and I was was fortunate to have been able to get to know Brent, Barb and most of the Tolmie family. I will always cherish the memories of playing in the Panorama Jazz Quartet with Brent and all BBQs and jam sessions at his house. This is a great loss and my sympathies go out to all his friends and family. Thank You Brent for all the great times we shared together.

Brent is the man who got me out there performing with the "Panorama Jazz Quartet." We weren't the edgiest or most original band but he was a damn good trumpet player and drummed up gig after gig for us. He was the most nurturing musical mentor anyone could ask for. Thank you, Brent; your spirit will continue to soar as it did in your music!

Brent was an excellent neighbor. We will miss the frequent short conversations we had with him and Barbra. Our thoughts and prayers are with Barbra , Derek, Barry and family.

Good memories of Brent at Camosun back in the
1980s in those golden years. He bridged divides often. I hope he was granted many happy senior years before his passing.

Our heartfelt sympathy to you, Barry and Julie and your families.

One of our mutual friends described Brent as a 'gentleman' and I can not think of a more fitting description. He was such a kind man. Barb, Barry and Derek take solace in knowing he truly had 'a life well lived.' hugs, Bonnie

What a sad sad loss of a handsome, talented, fun-loving man. Brent was a great husband, father and friend.and he will be missed by many all over the world. I have a great many memories that will bring a smile to my face for a very long time. My sincere condolences to all who knew and loved him.

I will miss Brent. The Tolmie family adopted me as one of their own when I first moved here, and I spent many Christmases, birthdays, Thanksgivings and other celebrations with them. Hugs to Barb, Derek, Rini, Maddi, Barry and the rest of the family.

So sorry to hear of this loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
