Thinking of Charles today as we were speaking to son Rob regarding conveyance of two properties our son is involved with. On ending call we thought of Charles and wondered if he was still alive.
A life well lived to the glory of God his saviour and Lord.
We loved this dear man and held both he and his wife Kaye in high regard.
The wonder of belonging to Jesus! We will meet again

Charles was instrumental in leading me to Christ through the "Alpha" program. A wonderful and loving man. He will be sorely missed.

My mom worked for Charles and Rob for many many years and we are so lucky to have them a part of our lives. I would have been really small when i first met Charles but i remember how kind he was. He had such a positive impact on my mom and many many others Im sure. He was truly inspirational. My thoughts are with the rest of the family.

Remembered Fondly - Charlie and Kay were good neighbours and friends. Fun times together traveling and socializing. Charlie remained close after Kay's passing and we look back and remember a man that left a positive mark on the city of Victoria and more and all those who know him. Rob and Steve and family, remember the good times as we do.

On behalf of World Vision Canada, I want to offer my condolences to the Ellington family. Charles' life was a life well-lived! He leaves behind such a remarkable legacy in so many places. As president of World Vision Canada, I am so grateful for the contributions that Charles made over the years during his time on our board. On behalf of our team here at World Vision, our prayers are with you as you mourn his passing and as you celebrate his life.

What a privilege it has been to know this man and we are better people because of it.
His legacy is a life lived with and for Christ and we can't think of a more passionate and constant witness to that fact.
He was a giant of the faith and he certainly touched our lives and that of countless others.
Thank you Charlie! We will miss you!
Our deepest condolences to Rob, Steve and their families

Our condolences to Rob, Steve and families. Charles was most meaningful to myself and, in later years, to Edna. I recall his leadership as superintendent of jam-packed Oaklands Gospel Hall, where I was a young student. Being a journalist, I had opportunity to write about this good man. Some of those observations can be found at http://www.faithincanada150.ca/initiatives/1000stories/104_charles_ellington

We have fond memories of Charlie, Kay and the boys.Charlie was always so positive and had many funny stories of his time at the orphanage....."who put the big boy in the little boys toilet"?He had a wonderful sense of humor and was there for anyone who had a need....remember fondly our Friday night "fivesies" with Charlie and Kay at the Laurel Point Inn.Our deepest condolences to the family-he will be missed but is now back with the love of his life,Kay.

Wonderful memories of our next door neighbours and good friends. Baby sat the boys regularly and enjoyed many wonderful meals. Charlie was a wonderful friend. I remember going to the orphanage in the evening to say goodnight to some of the children who were already in bed with Charlie. Precious memories!!
