So sorry to hear of Chris's passing. We will miss the thoughtful conversations and his ability to see humour in nearly everything. Rest easy my friend and fair winds.
December-14-17
I was saddened to hear of Chris's passing. I grew up across the street from the Thornto clan on Sutton Rd. I will always remember the day we moved in (July 1966), Chris and Julien were wrestling on their front lawn in their nice white shirts just before going to church. Needless to say his mother wasn't very happy. I have fond memories of those days hanging with Chris and his brothers. Rest peacefully.

Such a shock to learn tonight that you left us. My heart is heavy, dear Chris, yet it is filled with gratitude for knowing you. You indeed will shine brightly in heaven for your great ability to accept others as they are and be so patient no matter what. Your reward will be great, Chris. Thanks for all the banana bread you made me. I know you will take care of Tai from where you are...thanks for all our philosophical conversations in the doorway....
December-10-17
Chris was one of the most sincere, sardonic, caring, witty, ornery and lovely people I've ever met. Few can make me laugh like he could and he's already missed.

I haven't known you long but you were always cheerful and upbeat, the rest of the tenants will miss you too. RIP, Chris. Thinking of you also, Tai.

Anna, I'm so saddened to hear of the loss of your brother. People's comments have portrayed him as such a wonderful man. My sincere sympathies to you and your family.

Go in peace Chris. Rest well in knowing that the steadfast love and support you gave was deeply appreciated and always remembered. As will your acerbic view of the 'phonies' in life and what should be done with them! God bless, Chris - you will missed by so many.
