To the Senese family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Senese was my mentor as I completed my graduate work at UVic back in the mid-1980s. His wisdom remains an inspiration. Kind, sharing, and insightful, Dr. Senese was the one who encouraged me to continue on in academia. Thank you, Don, thank you for everything. You are the finest.

Dr. Sense taught a Russian history course I completed while attending UVIC.
Always an interesting and excellent lecturer, one of the best.
RIP Dr. Senese
