It was very sad to hear of Doug's passing. We first met in late 50s, in OTTAWA, where Doug was on 428 Sqn, me on 410. It soon became obvious that Doug was a "NATURAL" at most anything he did including sports -- hockey, fastball, golf, curling, the list goes on. I competed against Doug in some of the above -- once ! - then promptly retired from the sport !

Over the years, our paths often crossed - CF 100s, CF 101s, training courses, etc. To say I valued his friendship is truly an understatement -- rest well, Buddy!

Dear Doug and Sharon Stuart and family; I was so sorry to hear of Doug's passing. I was so glad that I had a chance to meet and know Doug through Alpha. I really enjoyed his sense of humour that wasn't lost in his pain. My condolences!
