I am very sorry about the loss of Professor Adler. He had an important and lasting impact on so many people in his work at McGill University. In honour of Eric, McGill will lower its flag to half mast on January 17 and a statement will be read in McGill's Senate to attest to his important legacy.

Peter and I were so sorry to hear of Eric's death. I've been going through a lot of Mom's photos and there are many of you, Eric and my parents having a great time together. I hope your happy memories will help you through this tough time. My deepest sympathies.

On behalf of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of McGill University, where Eric spent so much of his life and where he made so many contributions, I would like to add my condolences for your loss. Eric was one the key people who helped to make the department what it is today, and we were all very sad to hear of his passing. Thank you for sharing him with us.

Dear Lee

I will always remember the good times square dancing and the great "after parties". You both have a special place in my memories.

I was so sad to hear of Eric's passing. He was a sweet man who was so helpful and thoughtful to my dad. He will be missed. Our prayers go out to you (and Mitzi) for comfort and peace through these hard times. If you need anything, you know how to get a hold of us
God's Blessings to you

When I was a young teenager, I would, on occasion, have lunch with my father in the lunch-room in the McConnell building. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering was somewhat intimidating in those days; floor to wall computers, men-only bathrooms (I used the secretaries rest-room) and a lot of tweed jackets. Eric Adler knew how to make a 14 year old girl in a tunic feel at home in that space - he would come into the lunch-room, smile and ask me all about myself. I will always remember that about him - I am so sorry for your loss.

Lee, I am very sorry to learn of Eric's passing. May Eric's memory be for a blessing and give you strength to deal with the difficult days ahead.
