I was so sorry to hear of Maddy's death, I had hoped to visit her when I was in Victoria. She liked to tease my husband Claude as she had helped take care of him when he was young. They talked about many family memories. She told us once that Claude's mother was talking with her many years ago and mentioned that she wondered if she was pregnant again as the other boys were in high school. She was a unique person and always welcomed us with her wonderful smile. She will always be missed by family and friends. Sheilla Bugslag

Maddy lived her life to fullest, with always a smile and joke on the horizon. I met her almost forty years ago through her daughter, Eileen, so then our friendship was born. She called a spade a spade, and always welcomed visitors at her little house in the forrest, out in Metchosin. She will be missed by all who knew her, and now her journey continues up in Heaven. Rest in peace Maddy. Condolences to the family.

The passing of Maddy is like the end of an era for me. I came to know of her through an email from England about a Pridmore family that lived on Vancouver Island. That family turned out to be Maddy's and I was lucky enough to meet them in 2000. I would like Len to know that I have thought of him these past days. Rest in peace Maddy. Love Brenda and John
