I've known Glenn, since I was a teenager. I think he called me a young "whipper snapper". My parents , especially my mom thought the world of him, always made sure he had a china cup at the cafe. He was so talented in so many ways, physically very powerful, generous, wonderful laugh, honest and kind . Teased the heck out every waitress in the coffee shops in Victoria and Sooke. Loved his 4 wheel, 4 wheel steer buggy he created in Sooke. Asked him once to touch the paint on my car while I was away, I came back and the whole car was beaming with a new paint job. He gave so much to so many, didn't expect much back except love. Always willing to loan his shop and tools, never knew the word NO to a friend or stranger !

The Vancouver Island Faceters' Guild sends their condolences to Glenn's family and friends. His years with faceting, lapidary, silversmithing, woodturning and many other interests was shared with many of us who remember him well. He was a interesting and kind man whose company and friendship was most enjoyable. Fond memories.

My deepest condolences to Glenn's family. Glenn's son, Rob,was a very good friend of my late partner, Kris Samel(Oct.13). As a young man growing up on Cranmore Road, I remember my step father & myself getting gas at Glenn's Texaco Station on the corner. He was a true gentleman whose outstanding customer service brought Glenn repeat customers.
Finally, Glenn is at peace!!

Glenn - You were such a big part of my life, as my mechanic (you hated my car but you still fixed it! :) ) and also as a family friend! My parents, yourself and Kay, and many others would get together for Canasta & Chinese Rummy parties and rockhounding. If I was lucky, I would be invited over for the parties too. Your stories, Kay's bannock (baked) and so much fun!! RIP Glenn Love Janice Clarke
