The BC Government Retired Employees Association send condolences to the family and friend of Jack Walter for their loss.

I worked with John for a number of years at BC Parks and considered him a friend as well as a colleague. I am very sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his friends and family.

I really enjoyed working with John at BC Parks: his professionalism, talent, dry wit, and willingness to help. I think of him often and am sorry we lost contact.
To family and friends: sorry for your loss.

Dear Vanetia and Family,

Louise and I offer our deepest sympathy on the passing of John.

I worked with John for many years and retired just before he did. We had a group of BC Parks' retirees who got together for coffee each month, and when I asked John about him joining us, he gladly accepted. One day John suggested that we could be his guests at the Uplands for our coffee gatherings where he was a member. From then on until the Uplands made the renovations to the clubhouse, we enjoyed John's hospitality and company at the Uplands.

John was a great guy and will be missed by his family, friends and colleagues.

May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain your family during this challenging time. (Isaiah 61:1,2) With heartfelt sympathy.

John was one of the initial people I encountered when I first worked for BC Parks in 1986. I was impressed with his resolve, his work ethic and his high personal standards for the written word. John was a big part of the organization and I benefited from knowing him.

Although I did not get to see him very much I was always proud to say that he was my godfather. Always remembered.
