A great work colleague and friend who always stayed in touch with me even after retirement, you will be missed. My sincere condolences to Paul's family and friends, it was an honour to have known him.

Too many good times to count, and many great walks home from the office. Paul reached out to me several times over the past couple of years and it was great to connect and do the walk again. A great guy to have as a friend!

I never really know what to say. Paul was my friend- I will miss him. He loved his family very much. Praying for you Deb and family.

I knew Paul for approximately 18 years as both a co-worker and as a client. In both roles, Paul was a good, diligent worker and public servant. Working with him was enjoyable and productive and we are poorer for his passing.

Paul was such a great guy we are so sorry for your loss. He had a great sense of humor and always seemed so happy and full of life. He will be missed very much by all of us who knew him.

Paul reached out to me after a long period when we lost touch with each other. My delight was tempered by his news of his battle with cancer. Although I was only part of Paul's life for a few years back in his Sardis days, I always considered him a good friend. I called Paul in 2004 when his beloved Red Sox won the World Series to offer congrats but call went to voice mail and we didn't connect again until 2016. Many fond memories of Paul!

I was so saddened to hear of Paul's passing. He was a wonderful, warm and incredibly capable man. I loved his 'radio voice' and the conversations we had over the years. While I never met Paul face to face, I talked to him hundreds of times on the phone when I had issues with timber marks or a 'pants on fire' client. There was nothing he couldn't deal with. He was always so calm, collected and competent. . Condolences to the Gately family.

I worked in a Forest Service District Office. Paul was extremely understanding and he saved our clients from many last minute emergencies. His work was much appreciated and I am honoured to have known him as a friend.
