Nenita Peralta Obituary

PERALTA, Nenita Español With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Nenita, loving wife of Dick Peralta, and mother of two daughters: Cynthia Lu, married to David Watson (Calgary, AB) and Gemma Rae (Montreal, QC). Born on April 25, 1939, she passed away very peacefully surrounded by her family at Victoria General Hospital on November 13, 2017. Having graduated at Mary Chiles College, Philippines, she was part of the Nursing Staff of San Carlos General Hospital and later with the Geraldton District Hospital in 1961 in Ontario, Canada. Moving to BC in 1983, she became part of the Care Staff at Sidney Personal and Intermediate Care Home until she retired in 1996. She enjoyed cooking and hosting house parties always filled with much laughter. She was charitable, with a strong faith in God, self-confidence and resiliency. She and Dick were proprietors of the Philippines-Oriental Village where they catered and hosted many public and private community gatherings over the years. As a member of the Filipino-Canadian Seniors' Association, she will surely be missed by her close friends, relatives and many families. She is survived by her sisters Annabella, Gloria and brother Ernesto. Viewing will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC, on Monday, November 20th, 2017 at 7:00pm where condolences can be offered to the family.
