On behalf of all the Harwood's, we offer our sincere condolences to you Anne and your daughters. Uncle Ron, as he was known, was truly a wonderful man, with a terrific sense of humour. We will always remember his storytelling and his grin. A great friend to our parents and to us. Bruce Harwood

I am so sorry and sad to hear of Ron's passing. Ron was an exceptional man. I always felt like he was an uncle to me. As a young boy I remember how Ron would give me "helicopter" rides in his arms and shoulders making me dizzy with laughter and glee. I had the pleasure to join Ron and his wife Ann on several adventurous hikes on the West coast with my parents Bill and Beth. Our last trip was to Haida Gwaii with my dad...truly awe inspiring to be with these two wonderful and knowledgable men. Ron and my dad knew each other for over seventy years. My dad could not ask for a more true and loyal friend. Ron was a fierce competitor on the badminton court but was always gracious win or lose. I will remember fondly our epic games together. What a remarkable spirit Ron had and what vivid and engaging stories he could tell. I was so impressed with his carvings; truly gifted in that very challenging of art forms. My family and I will miss Ron dearly.

I knew Ron and Ann from his days of playing badminton at Henderson and Cordova Bay. I will miss him and I am sure he is missed by his family. My sincerest condolences to you Ann and your family at this time.

Ron taught me what was important in business... treat customers fairly and honestly. One of my favourite memories of him was "I'm going to put an egg in my shoe and beat it".

Ron and I go back a few years I started Island Business Machines in 1983 along with 3 Partners. Ron was one of the finest business men in Victoria, always willing to help full of laughter and a wonderful smile.
Marie & Myself pass our condolences to you and your family in this time of sorrow

Ron was the most gregarious person I ever met. I worked for him for 5 years. He taught me more about people in those five years than I could have hoped to learn for rest of my life. He had an insatiable sense of humour. He was always able to see the bright side of life and teach others to do the same.
My condolences to Ann and the entire family. He will be missed and fondly remembered.

Ron was my mentor as taught me how to be a salesperson prior to his retirement at Island Business Forms. Truly one of the kindest, honorable people I have ever met. His smile and humor will always brought joy to those he touched.
