I am so sorry to hear of Susan's passing, my sis Leslie Lord (Foxgord ) told me,Susan was a good friend of Leslie's, I knew Kathy and Brett, I do remember Susan looking after us "kids" at many of the great pool parties at the old house in Oak Bay,as a kid I always thought she was so cool she had her own style and not afraid to be true to herself, my deepest condolences to the family, she will be missed dearly.

Our adventure to the San Juan Island jazz fest with Sue and Eve on our sailboat, Entre Amis, remains a moveable feast in our bank of fondest memories over the years we worked and came together with Sue. A face always smiling when we were near, a heart always giving, a blessing to us both.

Our deepest condolences to John, your families and your many friends.

To John and Susan's family and friends, I wish I was able to join you today for Susan's celebration of life.I loved her courageous authenticity, her wonderful sense of humour and her quirky sense of style. She will be greatly missed and forever fondly remembered. Mary Gillis

You know Susan that I am never at a loss for words when talking to people... But in emotional situations I lack the words to express to you my deepest feelings. Since we met in Perula and the time we spent in Lo de Marcos I saw the goodness, warmth, sincerity, caring and empathy you showed to people as well as animals. You became my soul mate- the friend who sees through you and still loves you. I know from my experiences with you that the world was a better place thanks to your presence.

I am also thinking of the loves of your life: John and the Girls. I send to you John my fondest regards and very special hugs and cuddles for the Girls.

We send our love and support to you and the family, John. Susan was an absolute delight to work with. She brightened up every room she walked into.

Dear John and Family and Friends of Susan - I was shocked and saddened to hear the news this morning of Susans death. I met Susan in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where she adopted two street dogs. I only saw her twice, but was impressed by her pure loveliness... her radiating brightness Susan kept in touch from time in time with news about the dogs, mostly Georgina, whom I had known. And then this morning I read her obituary and discovered what a truly remarkable person Susan was and how much she will be missed by so many people who knew and loved her. Love will outlive grief.

Susan,

Remembering the good times at BCCH. "Wicked sense of humor" doesn't half describe it! And a trusted colleague as well.

John,

Take care of yourself too.

With fond memories,

My dear friend Susan, I feel a heavy loss. All that you did for others, your example for the rest of us, your senses of caring and adventure; these barely begin to describe your wonderful influence and impact on those around you, not least on me. I have happy memories from all these past decades: your stories (Chuck and Dave, and the job at the pub), your travels with John and the girls, your deep friendships, your love for your family. I shall miss you, always. Much love, Vera.

She was a meteorite! A flash of power, energy and light, thrilling us with humour and joie de vivre! My life is embedded in hers, a 50 yr friendship of a quality unparalleled... we laughed mostly, cried some... but que doloroso that we have her no more.
Wishing all the family great strength and peace to go on.
