FORCE, Steven Ernest 1948 to 2017 Steve passed away peacefully at home of heart failure, surrounded by his beloved books, movies and music. Steve spent most of his life in Victoria including 20 years living at Fisherman's Wharf. He moved to Courtenay 10 years ago where he lived a quiet, humble life. He was hugely knowledgeable, quick-witted, a great conversationalist, baseball fan, cat lover, trumpet player, jazz enthusiast, old movie buff, reader extraordinaire and absolutely unbeatable at trivial pursuit. Predeceased by his parents Ernie and Mae Force, he will be lovingly missed by his sister Nancy Arntzen, her husband Lloyd, niece Erin Cooper, nephew Adam Cooper and great-niece Alica Miller, all of Victoria. Gone to that big library in the sky. Cremation. No service by request.

I am saddened by the news of his passing. Steve and I fell in love. He stepped up to the plate, helping me raise my two sons, near beautiful Gonzales Beach. His influence certainly played a part shaping the fine men that they have become. Although we parted ways, he always had a piece of my heart. ❤

Steve was in my grade six class at Sir James Douglas. We were good pals for part of that year, as was Nancy. Even then Steve had a sharp wit and was very bright. Sorry to read that he's left us too soon. Heather MacAndrew

Nancy and family
I knew Steve from Vic High days. There were a lot of us Fairfield kids (Greg and LindaSpaven,Don Martin, Alanna McDonnagh to namea few) that hung out at Hollywood Park and Gonzales Beach.
Steve and I became good friends (l was a year ahead at school)
and we lost touch, I suppose, when we started work. I remember Steve as lots of fun, very clever and always had a twinkle in his
eye
My husband and I moved to Kamloops in 1971 and we are still here. I never did see Steve again in all these years and I regret
that very much.
My thoughts are with you.
