Farewell Vincent. I met you only once but have often thought of you and Maureen. I still have your poems that you sent to Glyn. I am sad to read of you gone - but wherever you have gone, may God bless you and Maureen. Love, Janet and Matthew, Wales, UK.

How many times on my visits back to Victoria, I saw Vincent go by in his recognisable car! His parts at the carols, hunting for treasures, spending time at Oak Bay Lodge when my granny was there. A character who will be long remembered.
Thinking of you all, Diana Whyte (Travers-Smith)

Good Bye Old Friend,
It is with fond memories that I will always cherish Vincent's walks on, or near, the Golf Course. We would chat about St. Mikes, Old Boys we both knew, my Grand-Dad Kyrle C, my Uncle Kyrle and my Dad, Mr Ned. Vincent always held the little school close to his heart and as a friend and Old Boy he will be missed. My condolences to all the family at this time of reflection - Oak Bay has lost a character once again.

Uncle Vincent lived the attributes of a virtual father for me over my life, starting with the shared gift of an auction piano when I was around 10, helping mum pay for my dancing classes. Popping out to Gran's cottage when we were at the lake, 1/4 piecing his way through lots of goodies and tea. Thoughtful and philosophical, he seemed to enjoy spending time with my family as the girls grew up, and participating in gatherings with our friends. I will cherish my memories of time spent with Vincent. Sue (Holmes) McDonald

We had the pleasure of meeting Vincent in 2004, while visiting friends Judy and John McKerlie. Vincent shared his poetry with us on several occasions, and we shared many memorable visits during our stay. Suffice it to say, he touched our hearts in a beautiful way. Our sincerest condolences to you, his Family and Friends. Gerry and Lu McKone

Vincent was a neighbour, both on Newport and Beach, and he always lit up our lives with his positive and creative spirit. We will miss his cheery smile and disposition and his link to the past.

Fond memories of Vincent, he gave us the best advice we ever had when we purchased our first home, location, location, location. We remember swimming at Maltby lake with Libby, and Vincent would come by for a dip! Christmas Carols were always remembered, Maurine with a big smile on her face. Condolences to the family for your loss
