"Mr. Botting" was my little league baseball coach and one of the most youthful souls that I have ever had the good fortune of knowing. But above all, I will remember him for his kindness, which is how I have always recalled Mrs. Botting. My own father transitioned in 1973 when I was 10. These two kind empathetic souls provided much warmth during my many visits to their house on Newport Avenue in the ensuing months and years, during what was a very difficult time for myself and my family. Much respect to both, and even more gratitude.

You were a good brother and friend to my dad, George, and will always be a part of my mozaic of memories. Our condolences to Aunty Kathryn, Michael, Richard, Bridget and Geoff. Rest In Peace Uncle Bill.

Mr. Botting was my grade 5 teacher at Oaklands elementary school in 1972. I have often said what a fabulous teacher he was and I have fond memories of him to this day! His beautiful baby blue Jag in the school parking lot, still love that car! What a class act!

Sending you his family, my deapest condolences.

Bill was our favourite uncle to visit in Victoria; he always was so happy to catch up on what we were doing. He would talked about playing tennis doubles and his many accomplishments working on beautiful cars. He loved and cared for his brother and sister and made a point of keeping in touch with them. Our sincere simphathy to dear Catherine and to his family. Louise and Chris Bailey
