May 7, 1955 - Aug. 3, 2018 Michael J. Upchurch, 63, of Vallejo, passed away on Friday, Aug. 3, in Martinez, following a lengthy illness. Michael was a veteran of the US Army. Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m., at Alta Vista Funeral Home, 901 Main St., Suisun. Funeral service will be Friday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m., at Corinthians COGIC, 1101 Benicia Rd., Vallejo, with Pastor Tobias Hawkins, officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd., Dixon. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Alta Vista Cremation & Funeral Services, 901 Main St., Suisun. 421-0100. Director - John A. Pepper.

I am so sad to hear of your passing. I actually found out on my dad's birthday. You and my dad were great friends. I can distinctively hear my dad say your name Church . He always called you that.
