Hey My MattJoe, Just missing you. I thought about you (well I think about you everyday) at Joeman's b-day party when his cousin from Scranton got lost and Uncle Chuck had to go rescue her. And they said can you believe she got THAT LOST and I said yes Matt was driving to my house for the first time on his own and called us from Mountain Top and said he could not find the turn. Remembering that was sad and funny at the same time. I love you and miss you.

Happy New Year. Well we made it this far, so I guess we can keep going. We had the party and Ashley was here with us. Uncle Steve had to work and Uncle Charlie was in too much pain to come, and Nammie had to leave early. But you already know this. Please continue to watch over us. We all love you.

hello my MattJoe, I miss you so much, but I guess I do not need to tell you that, you already know. Chrismas eve was hard because I know how much you liked coming to church, I know you were there. I love you. Christmas was not the same but we made the best of it. and everyone is coming here for new year's just like always, I know Ashley can not wait, she said she is bring whippies and cheese cake. I guess the cheese cake is for Uncle Alan, maybe that will make him happy. I said I would have the house ready but I have no energy, so people will have to deal with it. I know you will be here. I love you and I will talk to you soon.

We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your precious Matt. We will always cherish the memories and stories Daniel has told us about the happy, as well as, challenging days he and Matt shared at Camp Chihopi. Matt was such a vibrant, positive force for the younger campers. He will truly be missed by everyone who had the priviledge of crossing paths with him. I was stunned, saddened and speechless when I saw Matts name up on our board on 8 North. He is such a wonderful, precious young man who has touched my heart and will always be kept there for ever. Now that he is an Angel, I am sure that he will be looking over all of us guiding us in the right direction until we meet up with him again. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Matthew Joseph our gift from God for 19 years has left an amazing mark in our lives and on this world. His lightheartedness and love for life was what made him our little Matt Joe, MJ, Povi or what ever that little name you had. His life was not an easy one he suffered more than it seems like anyone should, but he never complained or said it was not fare, he just continued to be Matt.

Although are hearts are broken, our faith must not be. Matthew was given to us to have and to love and to teach us things we do not even know we learned yet. And now he will watch over us and be with us always.

We all have our stories, thoughts, and memories of special times with Matt and those are the things we must think about today, tomorrow and forever.

He will never be forgotten and will always be loved by each one of us.

Love,
Aunt Susie

To the Poveromo family -

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your precious son, Matthew. He was an amazing young man. I feel so priveliged to have had our paths cross twice - first at camp when he was just a little tyke, and then again at JWCH. Matthew fought hard and gave so much back to others during his time here. I pray that you will be wrapped in God's love in this most difficult time, and that He will comfort you with the Peace that passes all understanding.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
