Eddie Dale Bryant
Weinert, TX
Eddie Dale Bryant, 66, of Weinert passed away on April 14, 2018 in Abilene. He was born to Edward Bryant and raised by his grandparents Clyde and Nina Bryant.
Eddie attended Rule school were he was active in football, baseball and track. He was baptized in Sweethome Baptist Church in Rule and was a member of O'Brien Baptist Church.
He met the love of his life Claudia Barnard and they were married October 25, 1969 in the Calvary Baptist Church in Rule. They would have celebrated 49 years this year. To this union were two children, Jennifer and Jonathan. During those 49 years of marriage, he was loved by his Barnard family like a son.
Eddie loved sports from an early age, playing sports while in school to coaching little league baseball and softball and playing softball himself. He took pride in his bowling team in Lubbock, were they won several championships. The senor girls softball team he helped coach went to the National Championships in Liberal, Kansas. His love of sports soon turned to the grandkids. He was always at a football or softball game. But his love was basketball and Texas Tech football and tailgating. You never saw Eddie without his Texas Tech cap and he was always eager for football season to start in Raiderland.
Another love of his was summers at Miller Creek, fishing and camping with his family. Also, going to Possum Kingdom Lake where he enjoyed boating and camping with is family. Much of that special time was with his Aunt Nona and family.
Eddie was an account coordinator for Baker Hughes. He did it all, never ask anyone to do something he wouldn't do. Over his 24 years in this company, he made many friends and always considered his customers, his buddies. He was always proud to put his Baker cap on and his company phone was always at his side.
He is preceded in death by his father Edward Bryant; grandparents Clyde and Nina Bryant and little brother David Earl Bristow. Eddie is survived by his loving wife Claudia of Weinert; one daughter Jennifer Hicks and husband Keith of Hawley; one son Jonathan Bryant and wife Lindsay of Lubbock, four grandchildren Cecylee and Hadlee Hicks of Hawley, Hayden and Raygan Bryant both of Lubbock. Also, loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm, Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the O'Brien Baptist Church with Kyle Gulledge and Dan Bullock officiating under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home in Munday.

Becky and I were so sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. We have a prior commitment, so will be unable to make his memorial service on Thursday. Please know that all of you guys will be in our prayers. I will look forward to seeing Eddie again in heaven when my time comes to go to be with our Lord.
