My sincere sympathies go out to your family. May you take comfort in your many memories. I hope you will draw strength from one of my favorite scriptures at Isaiah 40:29,31 during this difficult time of loss.

Richard was my professor, mentor, and friend. He is the most talented and creative man and greatest teacher Ive ever known. Richards knowledge, kindness, energy, and patience knew no bounds. Rest now, sweet friend. I will keep you in my heart always. My love extends to his children, grandchildren, and family. I hope you can find peace and comfort.

Richard was one of the last grad students in our theatre program at Midwestern State University. He was a terrific student and good friend. When he became head of design at North Texas, he reached back and offered help to my aspiring design grads. Above all, he was a nice, nice man!
