Tom Dee Cole Sr.
Wichita Falls, TX
Tom Dee Cole Sr., 62, of Wichita Falls passed away Monday, March 12, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Colonial Church with Reverend Pat Bintner officiating. A masonic graveside with Military Honors will follow at Holliday Cemetery under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Owens and Brumley in Wichita Falls.
Tom was born on August 26, 1955 in Pasadena, Texas to the late Bill and Quita (Smith) Bone. The family moved to Waco, and he graduated from University High, and attended Texas State Technical Institute. Tom proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and had retired from TXDOT as a surveyor in 2012. Tom was a past master of Wichita Falls Masonic Lodge #635, and Megargel Lodge. He was also a member of Iowa Park Masonic Lodge #713, and was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. Tom was a past president of the Red River Rifle Association, and an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly. Tom also loved his country, and would only buy American made. He was the kind of man that would be there at the drop of a hat if you needed him. Tom will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandpa. He would talk about his family so much that you felt like you knew them without ever meeting them. He had a smile that infectious and a heart the size of Texas. He never stopped believing that his kids could make a difference in this world.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Pamela of Wichita Falls; son Tommy Cole Jr. and wife Kristen of Frisco; daughter Amanda Dorsey and husband Kane of Wichita Falls; grandchildren Cole Dorsey, Camden Cole, Kate Cole, and Cooper Dee Dorsey; sister Donna Thorne of Waco; brother Buck Cole and wife Carole of Austin; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Tom's name to Iowa Park Masonic Lodge, 700 W Washington Ave, Iowa Park, TX 76367.

Little Brother.... I miss you still. Time has not taken away the pain I experience from losing you that day. I wish the phone would ring and I could hear your voice asking me how I´m doing or what´s going on. I miss your hardy laughter and smile. You always thought of others first and did what you could to help anyone in need. The only comfort I have now is knowing you are walking hand in hand with Mother in Heaven. God bless you baby Brother for what you meant to me and others while we shared you here on earth. I love you....

Hi baby brother.... my heart is full of love and warmth for you. I miss out daily morning devotionals, text messages and phone calls. I miss you so often but I know where you are and the loved ones you are with. I look at your pictures and can see you smile and hear your sometimes loud voice sharing funny , loving stories of your favorite pets and family. I hear your boisterous laughter as well. I miss your hugs especially.
You began your forever home March 12th with our Heavenly Father where there is joy, love, praises for Him.
I love and miss you little brother more than you could ever imagine.

Tom Cole was the kind of man who would literally give you this shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. You wouldn't even ask, he'd just do it. The fist time we met at TXDOT I was interning while going to MSU and I was eating PB&J's and walking to work because I was trying to make ends meet. One morning Tom showed up with a bag full of groceries and wouldn't take no for an answer. That's who Tome Cole was. He was was a good friend when I needed one and we've stayed in touch. He was a father figure to me and we spoke many times a year. Whenever we'd meet He'd have the biggest grin and even when we talked on the phone you could hear him grinning.
He loved his family and always said the greatest thing he ever did with his life was raising Tommy and Amanda right. The last time we spoke we talked about how he loved to play with his grand-kids.
I've just found out that he passed. I am devastated that I didn't get to say goodbye. I did come to visit back in May of last year. I only wish I'd know that that would be the last time I'd see him. He texted me in December telling me he'd be praying for me to be safe during a forecast snowstorm and I never texted back :'(.
If anyone can tell me what happened I would truly truly appreciate it. You can call or text (940) 613-1753. You can even message me on Facebook. My e-mail is [email protected]
I'm having trouble contacting anyone because while he spoke lovingly of his family I never met them.
Goodbye Tom.
I miss you and I love you and I hope you're looking down from Heaven right now. Goodbye my friend. You will not be forgotten.

I was proud to call Tom my friend and Brother Mason. We spent many hours at TxDOT talking about our common interests. His obituary mentioned his willingness to help at the "drop of a hat." I know that is right, he proved it many times during our career at TxDOT. I am deeply saddened at his passing and will keep you in my prayers.

I love you lil brother and will charish the memories always of our younger days growing up. I will mostly remember our last years together growing closer than we ever were. We always knew one loved the other but not as much as we had later in life. You were a remarkable man that I was proud to call my brother and my friend. I am so glad we shared pictures of what our pets were doing that we thought cute enough to share with each other. Ha! So that means I have lots of them to look back on. I am especially glad that we texted the evening before you left us. I am glad I told you one last time I love you. Your reply was pretty much the same ditto. I got a kick out of that and you knew I would. As it tickled you to send it. I will miss you every day the rest of my life. You can count on that.
I love you Tom. Enjoy your new home in Heaven with mother and daddy. I'll see you all some day.
