O'Connor, Clara J. ALBANY Clara J. "Carrie" Diacetis O'Connor, 90, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010. Carrie's greatest joy was her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Carrie had worked for the Watervliet Arsenal during the war and retired after many years of service with NYS Department of Transportation in Albany. She enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader. Survivors include her husband, John H. O'Connor of Colonie; son, Robert A. (Mary Rose) O'Connor of Rexford; grandchildren, Kelly and twins, Laura and Ryan O'Connor; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Carrie was pre-deceased by her brothers, Anthony Sr., Dominic, Theodore Sr., Louis, Albert, Salvatore, Carmen and Christopher Diacetis and sisters, Susan Abatto and Teresa Day. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday, November 24 at St. Patrick's Church, Ravena. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Coeymans. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Contributions in memory of Carrie may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
