Dutcher-Fissette, Jeannine NORTH CREEK Jeannine Charmane (nee Kauffeld) Dutcher-Fissette, 90, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Elderwood of North Creek. Born in Star City, W.Va. on December 7, 1928, Jeannine was the middle child of eight born to Howard A. and Josephine (nee Elliott) Kauffeld. She grew up in Brooklyn, but moved to Ravena in 1957 to raise her family. She owned and operated Jeannine's Salon for several years; and was a lifelong bowler and member of leagues in Ravena and Delmar. Jeannine is survived by her youngest sister, Beverly of Hudson, Fla.; her son, John (Robin) Dutcher; daughter, Melodie (James) Carroll; son, James (Deborah) Dutcher; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Jeannine was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Howard A. Jr., Kenneth and Douglas; sisters, Geraldine, Marcialeigh and Elaine; also, the love of her life and first husband, Sidney J. "Dutch" Dutcher; husband, Leo J. Fissette; and long-time companion and friend, William J. Cronin. Jeannine's funeral will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, December 17, at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service starting at 3 p.m.
