O'Brien, Marian R. ALBANY Marian R. O'Brien passed away at home in Albany on December 5, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Selkirk on June 7, 1924, to Allyn and Geraldine Stalker. She lived most of her life in the Ravena area, and her last few years with her daughter, Karen and her husband in Albany. Marian is survived by her children, Robert A. O'Brien (Lee Rae, deceased), Karen Lalor (Stephen), Sharon Andrews (Gary), and Susan Holbrook (Craig); 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, John J. O'Brien and Russell Steltz; her parents; and brother, Allyn Stalker Jr. Marian graduated from Ravena High School and after many years of service, she retired from the R-C-S school district in 1986. She was a loyal volunteer at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital for several years. The family wishes to thank The Community Hospice and Dr. Gary Bakst for their compassionate, excellent, care of Marian. Private services will be held at a later date.
