Zolner, Marilyn J. RAVENA Marilyn J. Marshall Zolner, 85, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late William and Jennie Marshall; her father Bill was a founding partner in Marshalls Garage. After graduating from college, she was a teacher at the Loudonville Presbyterian Church Nursery School for many years. Marilyn was a lifelong resident of Ravena and a very active member of the Ravena Congregational Christian Church. She sang in the church choir, was a member and past president of the Ladies Guild, and worked with the youth group. Her main joy in life was her family, church, her cats, her retreats to Gulf Coast, Naples, Fla., the seaside Town of Ogunguit, Maine, and retreats on Star Island. Marilyn is survived by her children, Terry Darland (Michael), John W. Zolner (Claire), Cynthia Shear (Jesse), and Wendy Neri (Joseph); grandchildren, Phillip, Madison, Koryn, Aaron, Zachary (Liana), and Trevor; great-granddaughter, Mckenna; best friend Jane Roberts; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, John Zolner. Funeral services for Marilyn will be held on Sunday, October 7, at 2:30 p.m. in the Congregational Christian Church, Ravena.
