Babcock, Mildred A. DELMAR Mildred A. (Crosier) Babcock, formerly of Punta Gorda, Fla. and Selkirk, passed away at her home on Monday, June 14, 2010. Millie was born in Black River, N.Y., daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Gifford. She was predeceased by her husbands, F. Nelson Babcock and Nelson D. Crosier Sr. Millie retired after many years of service with Farm Family Insurance in Glenmont. Survivors include her children, Nelson Crosier (Marcia) of Brockport, Bonnie Banahan (James) of Selkirk, and Connie Mitchell (Fabian) of Schoharie; sisters, Betty Tompkins of Alcove, Joan Gifford of Latham, and Margaret McGrail of West Sand Lake; stepchildren, Kevin Babcock (Toni) of Guilderland, Craig Babcock (Dori) of Mechanicville and Laura Baird (Frank) of Carlsbad, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Maryann Liber-tucci (Chris) of West Coxsackie; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mildred was pre-deceased by her son, Keith Crosier; stepson, Brian Babcock; and brothers, Kenneth, Albert, Raymond and Marvin Gifford. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 18 at the Unionville Reformed Church, 1134 Delaware Turnpike, Delmar, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Make-A-Wish foundation of Northeast New York, One Mustang Drive, Cohoes, NY 12047 or the Unionville Reformed Church, 1134 Delaware Turnpike, Delmar, NY 12054.
