Mineau, Normand P. COEYMANS HOLLOW Normand P. Mineau, 79, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at his residence. Norm was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He spent 30 years as a chemical foreman for Sterling Organics in Rensselaer. As a lifetime member of the Old Saratoga Muzzle Loading Club he spent many weekends at shoots and rendezvous reenacting the life of a mountain man. Norm was also a charter member of the NYS American Mountain Man Society. A man of deep faith, he was a devoted follower of Saint Padre Pio. Beloved father of Brenda O'Connor of Bradenton, Fla., Michael (Diane) Mineau of Ravena, Mark (Mary) Mineau of Alcove, Kathy (Herb) VanAnden of Ravena and David Mineau of Mechanicville. Devoted grandchildren, Catie (Scott), Adam, Jennifer, Angela, Nathan and Justin; and friend and companion to Karen Rysedorph. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Saturday, February 2 at St. Patrick's Church, Ravena. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Coeymans. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Normand may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211.
