Nunziato, Rose M. SEWELL, N.J. Rose M. Nunziato, 83, formerly of Ravena, N.Y. passed away peacefully on January 21, 2013 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born in Ravena where she lived most all of her life, until 2007 when she and her husband moved to New Jersey to be with their family. Rose was a 1950 graduate of Benedictine Hospital School of Nursing in Kingston, N.Y. where she earned her bachelor's degree. She began her nursing career at Albany Medical Center until she retired in 1965 as head of nursing for the surgical center. In 1980 she returned to nursing as director of health services for the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk School district until she retired in 1991. She was member of the V.F.W. 9594 Ladies Auxiliary, Knights of Columbus, Mother McAuley Council 3424 Columbiettes, served on the board for the Hillside House and was a communicant of St Patrick's Church. Survivors include her son, Albert J. Nunziato Jr. and his wife, Lisa of N.J.; her cherished grandsons, Anthony and Alexander; brothers, Joe (Nancy) Micozzi of Fla., Angelo (Marianne) Micozzi of N.Y., and several nieces and nephews. Rose was recently predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Albert J. Nunziato Sr.; her parents, Angelo and Angeline Micozzi; sister, Jenny Altimari and brother, Frank Micozzi. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at Cardinal Village Retirement Community for all the love, care and compassion shown to Rose during her time with them. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Friday, January 25 at St. Patarick's Church, Ravena. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Patrick's Church, 21 Main St., Ravena, NY 12143.
