Mayer, Sheila M. RAVENA Sheila M. Sullivan Mayer, 93, entered eternal life on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Sheila was born in Mechanicville and had lived in Ravena since 1949. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Agnes Sullivan. In 1984, Sheila retired after 38 years of service with N.Y. Telephone Co. She was a communicant of The Church of St. Patrick in Ravena. Survivors include her daughters, Patricia (Don) Salhoff of Delmar and Nancy (John) Ritzel of Norwich; grandchildren, Stephen (Andrea) Salhoff, Kevin (Andrea) Salhoff and Laura (Rob) Bauer, Kate (Tim) Lansing, Peggy (Dave) Bathrick, Mary Ritzel and Ann (Danielle) Ritzel; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Sheila was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Mayer; and brother, Robert Sullivan. Sheila's funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16, at the Teresian House, with a calling hour prior to the service starting at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Coeymans. In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to consider a contribution in memory of Sheila to The Church of St. Patrick, 21 Main St., Ravena, NY 12143 or to the Teresian House, 200 Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY, 12203-5335.

To Sheila's family - I am so sorry for your loss. She was a very sweet lady. My Mom was Jean (Boyle) Miller. Sheila was my Mom's boss at the telephone company years ago and they re-connected for a short time while they were at Atria Delmar Place together. And they are now together again. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
