Deedie was a wonderful lady. Very hospitable and friendly. Her husband, Ballard, was a member of the Rotary Club of Jacksonville where I worked. He was always a gentleman and Deedie and Ballard made a great team. I can remember going to their beautiful home on the river and playing guitar with Ballard and singing for hours. He was so much fun and loved to sing The Tennessee Waltz.
Their home was warm and inviting and they were gracious hosts. I remember when my daughter was very ill, I had to call Ballard to help me at Rotary and fill in for me since he was sgt at arms. He was right there for me and so was Deedie. I'm glad I got to know them and love them. Now they're together forever!
Bless them and their family.

So sorry to learn of Deedie's passing.
A great loss to all those who knew her. She was a true gentle, gracious, Christian lady. Her smile was contagious. She and Ballard had a special place in their hearts for the
Arlington YMCA. Always generous in their support. I was honored to have lunch with this sweet lady awhile ago at Olive
Garden. She was always a pleasure to see and so easy to chat with. She treated everyone as her friend. God has welcomed her with open arms.

Joan and I wish to express our condolences to the Simmons family. Dee Dee had a great life and legacy! We know she is with Ballard in the presence of our Lord and those beloved family members that have gone before.

Ron and I are so sorry to hear of Deedie's death. She was a true friend we will always remember. Deedie was the most Christian lady you would ever want to know! She will be missed by all her friends as well as her family. Heaven will be glad to welcome her, as well as Ballard who will be there waiting for her. God has blessed us as he shared her life with us.
