My Dear McDuffie Family,
I am so sorry and saddened to learn of the passing of my dear cousin, “Bubba.”
It was the Ancient Egyptians who said that if we should keep the names of the deceased on the tongues of the living then it would seem as though they have not departed this good earth.
My husband, Dr. H. Earl Cotman always says at our family funerals that, “We never ever have to think of our loved ones as having passed!”
Prayers help to heal from grieving. Do grieve as long as is necessary. With the passage of some time, life once again will seem normal.
Your cousin,
Jackie

Coach Mac was a great man. He was my track and field coach. I will always be thankful for him pushing me to do better in track and in basketball. Giving me great advice and being very supportive in my high school years. He always wanted to see us kids do our very best. Praying for his family.

Coach Mac 1st year at BCMS
Coach Mac was an inspiration to everyone he encountered. He was a tough motivator that knew your potential even when you didn't think you could do it. He was hands down the most influential, well rounded and life changing educator I've encountered.

I've prayed that you and your family receive a peace that passes understanding in the wake of such a loss. A peace so incomprehensible that you can only close your eyes and bask in the quiet. I offer this condolence to you Keith; he never dies so long as his words and his legacy live on in you and that you stay connected to the Rock of your salvation.

Coach McDuffie and I both taught at BCMS. To know him was to love him. He was a kind, gentle, easy going, and patient man. He was also a rock to the kids—strong and firm when necessary. I wonder how many he mentored. My sincere condolences to his family. I am praying for you.
