Shirley Ann Foster
Shirley Ann Foster, age 64, of South Toledo, passed away suddenly on January 8, 2018 in her home. She was born October 30, 1953 in Toledo to Richard and Dolores Nowak. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to her entire family. She was a 1971 Bowsher graduate and spent many years working in the medical field and later being a caregiver to others. Her two daughters and their children were her top priority. She enjoyed filling her time playing with her grandkids and camping with family and friends. Shirley had an uncanny ability to connect with the people in her life in a deep and loving way.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard. Shirley is survived by Daniel, her husband of 34 years; daughters, Lauren (Ray) Worthington, Kelly (Cody) Wealleans, and stepson, Jon; grandchildren, Kennedy, Elliot, Lucas, Savahna and Jonathan; mother, Dolores Nowak; sister Christine (Rick) Reiger, and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may attend the memorial service/dinner Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at The American Legion Post 553, 206 S. Byrne Rd., Toledo, OH 43615. A tribute will take place at 3:30 p.m. Online condolences may be shared at

I can't tell you how much this saddens me to hear about Shirley. To Danny, Leann, Jonathon, Lauren & Ray, Kelly & Cody my deepest condolences. I never heard her say a bad word about anybody. She was constantly smiling & always fun to be around especially camping. She absolutely adored her grand kids & will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. May she rest in peace!
