Herbert S. Naponic, 88, of Level Green, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017. Abandoned by his parents, Herb was lovingly raised by his grandparents, Joseph and Mary Naponic. After graduating from Jeannette High School, he enlisted in the Air Force, which he credited with "straightening him out." He worked into his 80s as a real estate appraiser, funding his favorite hobby, golf. "Uncle Herb" enjoyed big band music and fishing, and spent countless hours helping up at Medic's Farm. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Medic Naponic. He is survived by two children, Jeffrey (Karen) Naponic, Esq., and Amy (Ronald) Yurko, J.D., Ph.D.; five grandchildren, Steven Naponic, Cara Naponic, Joseph (Amy) Yurko, Ph.D., Nicholas (Rachel) Yurko and Ronald Yurko Jr.; and a beautiful great-granddaughter, Anja Yurko.
