Randy A. "RAG" Govern, 60, of Ruffs Dale, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mr. Govern was born Sept. 18, 1960, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late Raymond and Kathleen Lacey Govern. Randy had been employed for more than 35 years with C & C Lumber Co. of Tarrs. He was a "jack-of-all-trades" and loved his time working in his garage or camping in the mountains, but most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play sports. Randy is survived by his loving family: his beloved wife of 40 years, Pamela Fulmer Govern; his devoted children, his son, Allen and his wife, Jade, of Ruffs Dale, and his daughter, Amanda Koposko and her husband, Cody, of Tarrs; and by his beloved grandchildren, Anthony Govern, Jacob Govern, Kendyl Govern, Adalynn Koposko and Alivia Koposko. He is also survived by his brothers, Rick (Karen) Govern and Rob Govern; his sisters, Patricia Majercak and Cheryl Polakovsky; and several nieces and nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law and great-nieces and -nephews. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his brothers, Regis, Raymond and Ron Govern; his niece, Lacey Weir; and his nephew, Martin Majerchak. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the GALONE-CARUSO FUNERAL HOME, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant. Following the covid-19 guidelines, only 50 people are permitted in the funeral home at one time. CDC guidelines for social distancing will be followed and face masks are required. We thank you for your patience and understanding. Private funeral services will be held at the funeral home with the Rev. Lee Maley officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Tarrs. To my family,
My heart goes out to all of you at this difficult time. May you remember all the special moments and times spent with Randy as they will carry you through. Randy and I were born 5 months apart, through our younger years we were always competitive whether it be at a back yard football game or on the baseball diamond. We had a special baseball rivalry in our teenage years as we both played Legion Baseball, he for Mt. Pleasant and me for Youngwood. Once or twice a season we would meet on the field, in our final meeting with family watching I hit a double off him and his 'untouchable curve ball'. The next time I was up to bat he proceeded to hit me with the same pitch in the backside....You will be missed by us all.

Randy was one of the wackiest and nicest people I got the chance to know as a kid. For the most part, he was my baseball coach, and excelled at that position. The only thing he wanted to see out of us kids was to do our best, be competitive, and have fun. I wish I got to know him a bit more as an adult, but I'll never forget the impact he had on my life as a kid. I am deeply sorry to all of his family during this time. The man was a legend, and I am blessed to have known Randy.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Randy. He was a wonderful person. My thoughts and prayers to Pam, Allen, Amanda and family. I got to work with him at CC Lumber for a summer, but he was the father of one of my best childhood friends. Randy taught me a lot about baseball, and other Sports. He will be missed.

I am very sorry to read about Randy's passing. He was way too young. I worked with Randy for 25 years a C&C, and considered him one of the "Good Guys"...always a hard, dependable, and always funny.
My condolences to his wife and family. You are in my prayers.
