Samuel R. Maiorana, 65, of Apollo, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, at home, with his beloved family by his side. He was born Jan. 7, 1956, in Pittsburgh, to the late Ralph and Margaret (Motzo) Maiorana. Prior to retiring, Samuel was employed for 37 years as a U.S. Postal Service clerk. He was a faithful member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Vandergrift. Sam loved taking care of his family and treasured the times he spent with them. He loved riding his Harley with his wife, and was a member of the Latrobe Hog Chapter, our extended family. Samuel will be greatly missed by his loving wife, his "bride" of 42 years, Suzanne (Shephard) Maiorana; children, Kristen Martin (Patrick), of Greensburg, Vincent Maiorana, of Lower Burrell, Ashleigh Maiorana, of Apollo, and Noelle Maiorana, of Pittsburgh; three very dear sisters-in-law; and a number of nieces and nephews. Samuel was the very proud grandfather of Anthony and Samantha, both of whom will especially miss him. Respecting the family's wishes, funeral arrangements will be private.
