Wayne T. "Skeets" Hayes, 65, of New Kensington, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, in his home. He was born July 16, 1955, to the late Ernest and Willie C. Patterson Hayes. He was a graduate of Valley High School and attended Clarion Collage. He was an avid sports fan and was known for his heart of gold. Wayne loved people, life, family and most of all, God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Hayes. Wayne is survived by his children, Janaya Nabors and Stephan Hayes; and brothers, Earnest H. (Osalie) Patterson, Damone Hayes Sr. and Robert Hayes Sr. Family and friends will be received from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, in the JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Ron Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Vandergrift Cemetery, Vandergrift.
