William H. Frye, 78, of Jeannette, passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Nov. 22, 1942, in Ohio, to the late Howard and Mary (Sherlock) Frye. Prior to retiring, William was employed as a psychologist. For 37 years, he was an invaluable resource to the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas of Westmoreland County regarding the evaluation, care and treatment for mental illness cases who came before the courts. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He very much enjoyed his position of being a Russian interpreter. He was a member of the Export Moose and the Export Italian-American Club. William will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 21 years, Marilyn (Oswald) Frye; stepson, T.J. Klobucar and his wife, Jennifer, of Penn Township; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was the very proud grandfather of Hunter, Madison and Bella, all of whom will especially miss him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David; and sister, Carol. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, 724-468-1177. Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. in the funeral home, at the conclusion of the gathering. Covid-19 guidelines will apply. Full military honors accorded by VFW Post 33 Honor Guard, Greensburg, will follow services. Interment in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, will be private. Deepest sympathy. Due to the pandemic I am avoiding anyone outside my household so am unable to pay my respects in person. Willi was a good man and a great friend for many years. He will be missed.
