VIOLET RAYMOND Obituary

In Memory of VIOLET L. RAYMOND Violet L. Raymond, 94 passed away on October 1, 2016 at the Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick after a short illness. She was born on November 24, 1921 on a farm near Kenmare, ND, the second of six girls born to Nels and Sadie Lindquist. The Lindquists moved to Clarkston, WA in about 1935 where Violet graduated from high school. She subsequently obtained her degree in education from Eastern Washington State College after the family moved to Spokane. She met John R. Raymond in spokane, and they were married in 1951 and moved to Richland. Violet taught fourth grade for several years in Spokane and Richland schools. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters. She is survived by her husband, John; one sister, Marlys Anderson in Oregon; one daughter, Nancy E. Riggle in College Place, WA; one son, Richard G. Raymond in Kennewick; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Violet was a wonderful wife, mother and friend, and she will be greatly missed. We would like to invite you to attend a celebration of Violet's life that will be held from 11:00 AM to 2: PM on Sunday, Oct. 23rd at the family residence, 2804 S. Bermuda Rd. (Rancho Reata District) Kennewick. Food will be served!
