While I was in law school, I spent time working in Judge Taubs office (even as a colleague in my 50s it was hard to call him Eli). That was such a valuable experience he wasnt necessarily easy to work for, but he was always fair and I learned so, so much. Years later, he would in succession be a judge, a Judicial Hearing Officer, and finally a colleague as an attorney for children in Rensselaer County, befitting him so well in light of his lifelong dedication to children.

His passing leaves us poorer; his having been here leaves us much richer.

Please accept our most sincere sympathy for your profound loss. Eli was a dedicated child advocate and he will be missed.

Eli was wonderful to work for and was always kinda and compassionate. Condolences to Nancy and Jennifer.

Colleague and friend. Dedicated servant of the law and the souls for whom he advocated. Devoted to his family and faith and its highest precepts of humanity and charity. A mensch. Now attending calendar call at that 'big Courthouse in the sky'.
