Dear David, Patty and Diane,

I am so saddened by the loss of your dad, He was a great man, always with his dry sense of humor and venerable wit. He will join Mimi and Daniel for a Martini in the sky. Our deepest Sympathies.

So sorry I didn't get over to see Larry this year as I had planned. We,too lost loved ones & plans got put aside. I remember many happy times with Larry, Mimi, David, Patty, Danny & Dian. We were always having projects, like making root beer. It exploded in the middle of the night, scaring us to death, one bottle at a time, too. Larry & Mimi taught me how to play tennis. Mimi helped my sisterPam sew a dress for school, as she couldn't sew a straight line & was failing the class. Larry kept telling Mimi it was to good & the teacher would know but she passed the course. Loved listening to his music when I babysat. He had the best. Until we meet again, Rest In Peace Mr. G.,Your old Neighbor/Friend/Babysitter,Paula

Dear Dave, Patty and Diane,

I am so sorry to hear of the loss your father and I wish you strength and comfort at this difficult time.

Reading his obituary flooded me with memories. Some of the best teenage memories involved Dave, Patty and your home: Mary Had a Little Lamb, fixing the dent in the Lincoln, bike rides across town, saving 7-Up cans for a table.

I remember little things about your dad, like saving past phone books for future reference. The one memory I carry is him reading the newspaper. As you said in the obituary, he was always on top of the news. When I was editorial page editor at the Star he called about a Maureen Dowd column that I hadn't run he was so sharp!

I hope you and your families are happy and well, and wish you comfort in your memories . Always your friend, Ann
