About ten years ago our pastor at St. Paul Episcopal Church announced to us at Sunday service that Ginny had a medical issue which looked to be a severe heart attack. He went on to say there was a possibility she would not survive. I could not help but feel full of guilt at that moment. I knew this was a very wonderful, caring woman who radiated her love to everyone. Why hadn't I gotten to know her better, I uttered to myself. Instead of beating myself up any longer, I decided to do the one thing I knew that could make a difference. I prayed to God to please heal her and I would make an effort to get to know this awesome lady better than just a Sunday acquaintance. God more than answered my prayers by healing Ginny. I kept my part of the bargain and got to know her better. What a gift that has been! We quickly became very good friends. Through a church ministry we talked every Saturday for the past several years. I really looked forward to and enjoyed those calls. Ginny was so full of love. She taught me that life is too short to focus on anything but positives and love. I could talk to her about anything and know that I was getting great advice and not being judged. She loved family, nature and mostly God. Ginny often told me how blessed she was to have a great husband, children, family, friends, church, good health and a long life. The truth is, we were all the ones who were blessed to have known you Ginny! Enjoy your place in heaven and thank you for our time together.
