Wild Wild West was my favorite show of all time & was & still is the greatest action & unique setting show on TV. The Characters of Jim West & Artemus Gordon were perfectly paired, each with their own personalities & skills.

I remember during the entire time the show was broadcast, I wouldn't agree to go out on a date until after the show aired. I also liked Conrad in the Hawaiian Eye series and early beach movies like Palm Springs Weekend & the snazzy T-Bird Conv roadster he drove.

I'm now 73 & as I got married & raised kids, I even bought & restored a T-Bird Conv w/ roadster package. My close friends always kidded me about my aspiring fantasy to emulate the Jim West / Robert Conrad persona. I purchased the entire Wild Wild West Series (including the 2 subsequent movies) on DVD so I can enjoy watching them from time to time & show them to the following generations who never saw them.

Wish I would have had the opportunity to meet him in his earlier years but unfortunately never had the opportunity, but will continue to admiringly remember him!!!

My condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Robert Conrad. He was a kind man, a great actor, and most importantly, he was a great dad. He made a lot of people feel special, whether in the arts through acting, or with family, friends, and fans. He was there to help others whenever he could. He was not afraid of work. He was definitely not afraid to work. He was a mans man, for sure. Many women adored him and wanted to be with him. Many men admired him and wanted to be like him. I know that he was sooo looking forward to celebrating his 85th birthday, and wanted to have a grand ol birthday party. Perhaps we can celebrate his birthday by having a slice of cake on March 1st, and say a prayer for him. He was, and will always be, in our hearts and thoughts. Mr. Robert Conrad will forever be missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Robert, his wife, children and mother in law when they visited Point Clear, Alabama in the mid 1990s. He was gracious enough to allow me to take photos and I cherish those photos to this day.

Hey Bob, Remember me? I am the 18 yr. old, at the time, in 1967 who scaled over your gate on Petit Av. Encino so eager to finally meet you in person. Actually, we made plans to meet at CBS by talking via phone and me writing letters from Boston where I was living at the time. You were still on vacation in Hawaii at the time, guess I got a bit overzealous . The intent was to help me become an actor and mentor me along the way. We spent lots of time together on the set along w/ Dick Gangy and others and became friends. Truly one of the fondest memories of my life thanks to your incredible generosity. Always meant to get back in touch, so sorry I did not. Take care my friend. My love to you and your family.

As a sick child in the late sixties the TV became a good friend and the Wild Wild West was an important part of that. RIP to the Conrad family and his friends around the world
