Joe coached me in college, Western Kentucky University. Great motivator and best at teaching blocking skills.
He actually called us his "Root Hogs" back then and this was in the late 60's. I still have a "Calvin Swine" tie Joe sent me on Christmas. My sincere sympathy to Joe's family and wish them God Speed !

I played on Munhall's 1955 Prep League National Championship Team with Joe. He was a solid guy even in high school and never changed, true "Pittsburgh" guy.

I met Coach Bugel at a Redskins training camp around 2006/2007. He was really nice to me and my family. My Mom even got to take her picture with him. He was just a great coach and even better man. May he rest in peace and a special prayer for his family.
