Chris is a good man! We were roommates while we were stationed in the army at Fort Hood Texas. Chris was professionally and respectfully referred to as Doc while he served in Company B, 62nd Engineer Battalion. Chris was very intelligent and quick witted with his serious but dry sense of humor. He taught me and our buddies how to play and lose graciously at playing poker. Together we liked hard physical labor, to say Chris did more than his share of hard dirty work is an understatement. Chris' legacy in my mind is he always said to be compassionate to those who are weaker, to help those who are in need, and to trust the man upstairs, God, when things don't make and sense. I lost track of Chis until recently, we reconnected on Facebook. It was like finding a long lost brother. I loved Chris and am very sad about his passing. My prayers and deepest sympathy goes out to Sorya, Sam and Crystal and his family. Sincerely, Arnold Shaver

He was a great inspiring big brother to all of his siblings. He taught us to dream to dream big and think outside the box.

Bernie and I worked with Chris at the Kroger store in the late 70's /early 80's in Mansfield, Ohio. He was a very responsible and caring young man. A very hard worker, eager to succeed. Always pleasant and very well liked. We knew his sister, Margaret and his dad, as shoppers in the store. So sad to hear that his very accomplished life has ended way too soon. Deepest sympathy to his loving family.

I will miss his phone calls the most.
